I'm a journalist who happens to have come into the field during a time that is full of wonderful opportunities to learn new things! (Maybe the tiniest smidge of sarcasm there.) Luckily, I happen to love the tech-y stuff I've learned. I think journalists make natural web folks, as it's our job to understand inner workings and we're supposed to be creative storytellers. It's certainly been a natural extension for me.
In my marketing guise, I work with clients on copywriting, web design, project management, game development and social media. I also see this work as naturally linked to journalism -- both because strength of ideas is supreme, and because today, journalists must sell their own work in ways that they never had to previously.
I've received AP and SPJ Awards for my reporting and my work has aired on/been published in the following places, among others:
Morning Edition
All Things Considered
WHYY
NYTimes.com
NewYorker.com
The Los Angeles Times
The Awl
Marketplace
KCRW
KPCC
The California Report
GOOD Magazine
TheAtlantic.com
The Orange County Register
La Opinion
Filter Magazine

Finally, here are a few personal-ish items that I couldn't figure out where else to put:
I believe in (and love) volunteering, especially for child/education related causes.
A great national org I've volunteered with is called Spark.
You can hear a radio story I produced with my Spark apprentice here.
I've also tutored kids through a wonderful SoCal org called School On Wheels.
My undergraduate honors thesis in Art History. (Title - Constructing Real Challenges to High Art Paradigms: Thomas Kinkade, Painter of Light(TM).) Its reactionary spirit continues to inform me to this day!
